The crew of the LSC fleet Elandra Corallo carried out a rescue operation, rescuing eight Brazilian fishermen from a sinking fishing boat.
On Sunday morning, September 15, 2019, the crew of the Elandra Corallo, a Latvian-based technical management company “LSC” observed the sinking fishing boat with people waiving to signal while the vessel approaching the coast of Brazil. Noticing what was happening, the ship’s captain Andrei Taranenko decided to immediately begin the rescue operation.
Using a lifeboat, the LSC team moved all eight Brazilian citizens on board and provided them with the necessary medical care. The rescued fishermen did not suffer any significant injuries and the LSC fleet went to the Port of Sao Luis to disembark the rescued.
The total duration of the rescue operation was one hour and one minute.
