Asphalt Splendor saves sailors in the Atlantic! ✨
Congratulations to Captain Ilja Nivskis and his crew aboard Asphalt Splendor, who rescued four sailors from a powerless yacht in rough Atlantic seas.
With seas of around 3.5 metres and northeasterly force 6 winds, the rescue operation was completed after several attempts. The crew of the yacht BlueSky was safely brought aboard, uninjured and in good spirits.
💬 As Captain Nivskis explained, the decision-making process was intense:
“We had to carefully evaluate every option, calculating the risks of the manoeuvre in challenging weather conditions, strong currents, and considering the hull integrity of BlueSky. Ultimately, through the disciplined execution of the crew, we successfully brought all four survivors safely on board without any injuries during the boarding process.”
